GARNET ALMA KLINGINSMITH Garnet Alma Klinginsmith, daughter of Loyd Ray and Alma Martha Worboy Sharp, was born December 19, 1928 in Grundy County, Missouri. She departed this life Friday, November 27, 2015 in her home, at the age of eighty-six years, eleven months, and eight days. On July 15, 1942, in Jamesport, Missouri, Garnet was united in marriage to William “Sam” Klinginsmith, and to this union six children were born. Garnet was preceded in death by her husband, Sam; her parents, Loyd and Alma Sharp; an infant son, Paul Henry Klinginsmith; and two brothers, Harold and Owen “Pete” Sharp. She is survived by her daughters, Jane Calvert and husband Ernie, of Camdenton, Missouri, Judy Baxter and husband Rick, of Imperial, Missouri, Cheryl Pettigrew and husband Jim, of California, Missouri, and Pam Minnick and husband Ron, of Lock Springs, Missouri; her son, Sam Klinginsmith and wife Jeannie, of Camdenton, Missouri; her grandchildren, Teffra Allen and husband Don, Ernie Calvert and wife Christi, Trinka Cooksey and husband Tom, Randi Ulbricht and husband Jeff, Colt Baxter and wife Becca, Courtney Baxter, Charlie Baxter and wife Nicole, Francie Gannan, Cari Gannan, Katie Cooper and husband Dustin, Robin Grant and husband Travis, Jerad Minnick and wife Becca, Aaron Minnick and wife Kathy, Scott Minnick and wife Katie, Emilee Geldart and husband Dan, Brandi Wilkinson and husband David, and Jessica Bennett and husband Joe; twenty-six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Howard Sharp, of Centerville, Iowa; a number of nieces, nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Garnet was born and raised in the Grundy County area in Missouri. After marrying, she lived in every state in the Union except 13. While living in Trenton, Missouri, from 1977-1998, she received a certificate for her twenty-one years of service at Sunny View Nursing Home. She then moved to Camdenton in 1998 and worked at Gerbes, making beautiful party trays, which she absolutely loved, until her retirement in 2008. Garnet had accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and was a member of the Family of God Church in Camdenton. She was also a member of the 700 club and TBN. Romans 14:8 For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 5, 2015 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Friday evening in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Allee Memorial Gardens, Camdenton, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Family Of God Church and left at the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with their arrangements.
