MARY McCLELLAN Mary Agnes McClellan, daughter of John and Mary Davaork Blake, was born, October 6, 1928 in Maryland Heights, Missouri. She departed this life, Wednesday, February 13, 2008 in her home, St. Louis, Missouri at the age of seventy-nine years, four months and seven days. In October of 1971, she was united in marriage to Doyle Marvin McClellan in St. Louis, Missouri. Together they shared thirty years until his passing on May 25, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John Blake. Survivors include her sons, Bob Smith and Rick Smith and his wife Gail; four grandchildren, Matt, Nick, Ryan and Lindsay Tow; three great-grandsons, Koty Sanford and Lance and Logan Tow all of St. Louis, Missouri; a brother, Roy Rodgers of Sebring, Florida and a great number of nieces and nephews. Mary was raised in Maryland Heights, Missouri and was a graduate of Maryland Heights High School in the class of 1946. She continued to live in St. Louis and worked as a bookkeeper where she retired from Huttig Sash and Door. In 1991, she and Doyle moved to Sunrise Beach, Missouri and she lived there until 2004, when poor health required she live closer to her sons. She was baptized into the Catholic faith as a child and attended mass with her family. Mary was an incredible softball player. She began playing in high school and continued in league play for many years after. She was proud to have taught her sons the game. She was also a huge St. Louis Cardinal fan. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing. She loved to cook and enjoyed time spent with family and friends. Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and many accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 18, 2008 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dale Blair Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m., Monday in the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
