PEGGY GANGEL Vedella Rose "Peggy" Gangel, daughter of Albert Clarence and May Taylor Sayers, was born, March 16, 1917 in Chicago, Illinois. She departed this life, June 3, 2010, in her home, West Chicago, Illinois at the age of ninety-three years, two months and eighteen days. In the 1940's she was united in marriage to Joseph A. Wolsztyniak and to this union two sons were born. Their marriage spanned nearly forty years until his passing in 1979. On April 5, 1986, she was united in marriage to Victor E. Gangel. Together they shared six years of marriage before his passing on August 4, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Wilfred, Grant and Ernest Sayers. Survivors include her sons, Joseph A. Wolsztyniak of Davie, Florida and Keith Michael Wolsztyniak and wife Linda of Lombard, Illinois; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. In her spare time she enjoyed reading and music. Most of all, she enjoyed time spent with family and friends. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. A memorial service will be held at10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 21, 2010 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Allee Memorial Gardens, Camdenton. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and left at the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
