Roger Laverne Shaull, son of Milford and Loretta Bair Shaull, was born August 22, 1943 in Keswick, Iowa. He departed this life Wednesday, June 8, 2016 in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of seventy-two years, nine months, and seventeen days. On August 21, 1965, Roger was united in marriage to Sue Sanders, and to this union two children were born. Roger was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Kevin Shaull. He is survived by his wife, Sue, of the home; son, Todd Shaull of Solon, Iowa; his daughter, Lori Toussaint and husband Ryan, of Sumner, Iowa; grandchildren, Travis Shaull and wife Lindsey, Hailey Shaull, and Brooke, Britney, and Brady Toussaint; two sisters, Nancy Ritchie and husband Dan, of South Carolina, and Shelley Kirby and husband Mike, of Oskaloosa, Iowa; a brother, Brian Shaull, and wife Lani, of Keswick, Iowa; and a sister-in-law Debb Shaull, of Sigourney, Iowa; as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends. Roger was born in Iowa and graduated from Tri County High School. He received his bachelor’s degree from William Penn College. Following their marriage, Roger and Sue made their home in Cedar Rapids and Solon for many years. He owned and operated an auto petroleum distributorship until his retirement in 1999. After his retirement, Roger and Sue traveled the country in their motor home until moving to the Lake of the Ozarks in 2004. In his spare time, Roger enjoyed riding his snowmobile, drag racing, playing pool, boating on the Lake of the Ozarks, and watching the Iowa Hawkeye’s football games whenever possible. Time spent with his family and friends was very important to him. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2016 in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and left at the funeral home.
