She departed this life, Saturday, December 20, 2014, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri at the age of thirty-three years, six months and twenty-three days. On February 14, 2000 in Decaturville, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Bradley Lee Bailey. Together they shared fourteen years of marriage. She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Cecil and Louise Pope and her maternal grandfather, Gene Rooffener. Survivors include her husband, Brad Bailey of the home; her parents, Glenn and Sherry Pope of Eldridge, Missouri; her sisters, Lucy Carpenter and husband Chris of Eldridge, Missouri and Jessie Goebel and husband J.C. of Williamsville, Missouri; her maternal grandmother, Shirley Rooffener of Camdenton, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Shannon was raised in the Decaturville area and was a graduate of Lebanon High School in the class of 1999. She married Brad and they made their home in Eldridge until moving to Tunas a year ago. She was a telemarketer and had attended Ozarks Technical Community College. Shannon was saved and a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. In her spare time she loved spending time on Facebook, keeping up with friends and family. She loved her dogs and always took time to spoil them. Most of all, time spent with her family was precious to her. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, granddaughter and a caring neighbor and friend. Although she left us too early, we take comfort in knowing her loving memory will linger on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
