ABIGAIL DENNY Abigail Denny, daughter of Heston Perry and Mary Emily McGuire Cullen, was born, May 1, 1928 at Ha Ha Tonka in Camden County, Missouri. She departed this life, Friday, September 21, 2007, in St. John's Hospital, Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-nine years, four months and twenty days. In June of 1947, she was united in marriage to Lester Denny and to this union two children were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother-in-law, Clyde Ward. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Lester Denny of the home; a son, Randy Denny and wife Sandy; a daughter, Sandy Shivers and husband Randy; a sister, Bertha "Blackie" Ward; four grandchildren, Nikki Franklin and husband Zach, Samantha Emry and husband Coby, Casey Shivers and Cody Shivers; two great-grandchildren all of Camdenton, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Abigail was a life-long resident of Camden County and was a graduate of Camdenton High School. Early in life, she worked in a bank and was a cook at the school. She later began a career as a bookkeeper for the Paintin Place from which she retired. She was also a full-time mom and grandma and a help-mate to her husband. She made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Myetta Missionary Baptist Church in Camdenton. In her spare time she enjoyed baking and reading cookbooks. She enjoyed quilting and had made many beautiful quilts for her family. Family was very important to her and she loved family gatherings. Abigail was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and was a caring neighbor and friend. She impacted many lives and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 24, 2007 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home with Reverend Larry Denny officiating. Burial will follow in Myetta Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m., Sunday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Myetta Cemetery Fund and left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
