Ace D. Martin

Ace Donel Martin, son of Ace Anglus and Gertrude Dorothy Williams Martin, was born, August 11, 1932 in Fairmount, Missouri. He departed this life, May 27, 2019, in his home, Roach, Missouri at the age of Eighty-six years, nine months and sixteen days. On August 23, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri he was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart JoAnn Rinkenbaugh and to this union three children were born. Together they shared sixty-two years of marriage He was preceded in death by his parents, wife JoAnn Martin and brother Robert Williams. He is survived by his children, Ace R. Martin of Macks Creek, Missouri, Richard W. Martin of Roach, Missouri, and Mickey McGuire and husband Rusty Groll of Roach, Missouri,; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, sister, Roberta Newmann of Kansas City, Missouri,; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Ace was raised in the Kansas City area and after graduating high school he enlisted in the United States Navy and was in the reserves for thirty years. He worked for TWA for thirty-five years and retired here at the Lake of the Ozarks. Ace made a profession of faith and was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Osage Beach, Missouri. Ace was a Bishop of the church for four years and has been a member of the church for fifty years. In his spare time, he enjoyed being a Scout Master in the Boy Scouts, cooking in a Dutch over and was a merit badge counselor. He also enjoyed going on weeklong horseback riding with his family in Eminence, Missouri. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, husband, son and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Memorial donations may be made to the Church Missionary Fund and left at the Church Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
