Adeline M Jeffries Adeline McChord Jeffries, daughter of Asa Rosson and India Nola Bradley Green was born, October 1, 1925 in Montreal, Missouri. She departed this life, Thursday, May 28, 2020, in Osage Beach Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of ninety-four years, seven months and twenty-seven days. On July 11, 1940, she was united in marriage to Alex Carl Jeffries and to this union nine children were born. Together they shared forty-six years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her parents: her husband; her sons, Lenny, Kenny and Robert Galen; her grandson, Richard Henry, Jr.; her great-grandson, William Jeffries: her great-granddaughter, Ericka Champion; her sister, Elaine Shapiro; two sons-in-law, James York and John Odom and a daughter-in-law, Penny Jeffries. Survivors include, her children, Larry Jeffries and wife Linda of Richland, Missouri, Patricia Odom of Richland, Missouri, Pamala Denny and husband Larry of Lebanon, Missouri, Phyllis Quillen and husband Roy of Lake Ozark, Missouri, Buddy Jeffries of Bethalto, Illinois and Penny Brady and husband Glen of Montreal, Missouri; twenty-five grandchildren; fifty-one great-grandchildren; nineteen great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was known to many as “granny”. Adeline was raised in Montreal, Missouri where she attended Buffalo Prairie Grade School and then also attended Stoutland Grade School. She met and married Alex and they made their home in the Montreal area. They owned and operated a grocery store in Montreal for several years. She had worked as a waitress for a while. Adeline was a devoted homemaker to her family. Adeline was saved and was a member of High Point Baptist Church In her spare time, she loved knitting and had made baby blankets for all of her grandchildren whom most of them still have theirs. She treasured time spent with her family and friends. She always had a big garden and canned all the produce from it. She was a loving mom and grandma, and was always a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Sunday, May 31, 2020, in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri. Burial will follow in Freedom Cemetery, Montreal. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Freedom Cemetery and left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri.
