Alfred Darlington Brinton

Alfred Darlington Brinton, son of Herbert C. Brinton II and Ruthmary Kidd, was born July 25, 1957 in Hillsboro, Illinois. He departed this life January 7, 2025 in Versailles, Missouri at the age of sixty-seven years, five months and thirteen days.


He was united in marriage to Connie Jo Timmy for four years and to this union three children were born. He later married Susanna Herrera on December 21, 2019.


Alfred was preceded in death by his parents and three brother, William Brinton, John Brinton, and Herbert Brinton III.


He is survived by his wife, Susana Brinton of Sunrise Beach, Missouri; daughter, Blythe Manning and husband Kelly of Camdenton, Missouri; son, Timothy F. Brinton of Austin, Texas; three grandchildren, Allison Manning, Melissa Manning, and Jase Manning; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.


Alfred was raised in Stonington Illinois and graduated from Stonington High School in 1976. He joined the Air National Guard in 1977. He then joined the United States Army in 1982 and proudly served until he was medically retired in 1984.


He loved cars and was very fascinated with engines and how they worked to produce energy.


He was a loving and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends.


Funeral services with Honors will be held Friday, January 17, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Fort Leonard Wood in Waynesville, Missouri.
