ANDY KINNAMAN Esther Susan Kinnaman, daughter of Joseph Corbett and Nettie Fay Higgason Anderson, was born, February 12, 1919 in Xenia, Illinois. She departed this life, Friday, April 19, 2013, in her home, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of ninety-four years, two months and seven days. In March of 1951 in the First Christian Church, Flora, Illinois, she was united in marriage to Paul Donald Kinnaman. Together they shared twenty-three years of marriage until his passing in February of 1974. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Ruth Cook, Alice Tull and Shirley Cline and a brother, Joseph Corbett, Jr. Survivors include her sons, Joseph A. Kinnaman and wife Sharon Sue of Osage Beach, Missouri; Thomas P. Imperato and wife Marcia of Plainfield, Illinois, Carl R. Imperato and wife Mary Jo of Bartlett, Illinois and Michael P. Imperato of Elgin, Illinois; two grandchildren, Paul Joseph Imperato and wife Rachel of Iberia, Missouri and Jeanne Sue Miller and husband Richard of Tooele, Utah; seven great-grandchildren, Gabriella Grace and Isabella Reece Imperato, Angel and Jesse Routh and Ella Jean, Bryn Olivia and Hudsyn Dawn Miller; two brothers, Daniel Anderson of Laurie, Missouri and George Anderson and wife Fritz of Camdenton, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Andy was raised in Xenia, Illinois and graduated from High School there. She attended Washington University for Nursing School. She served her country proudly as a nurse in the United States Army Nurses Corps during World War II. She was in the 21st General Hospital in North Africa, Italy and Sicily. After being honorably discharged, she return to Illinois and worked as a nurse there and Troy, Missouri. She retired from Deaconess Hospital in 1984 after over twenty years of service. She moved to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1996. Andy made a profession of faith and was a member of Lake Presbyterian Church in Osage Beach. She has the opportunity to go on an honor flight to Washington D.C. to see the World War II memorial with her son on April 20, 2010. She was proud to have been be of the first women on the Women's War Memorial in Arlington National Cemetery. Her grandchildren were the joy of her life and she loved every opportunity she has to spend with them. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. A graveside service and burial will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, May 20, 2013, in Elmwood Cemetery, Flora, Illinois under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton. Military honors will be conferred. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 25, 2013 in Lake Presbyterian Church, Osage Beach. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. in the church. Memorial donations may be made to the Osage Beach Fire Protection District Benevolence Fund or Lake Presbyterian Church and left at the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
