Anna Mae Denny

March 2, 1967 — February 1, 2024

Anna Mae Denny

Anna Mae Denny, daughter of Daniel Monroe Langston and Lois Mae Radford, was born on March 2, 1967 in El Dorado Springs, Missouri. She departed this life February 1, 2024 in her Camdenton home at the age of fifty-six.

On July 4, 1988, she was united in marriage to Larry Don Denny, “so they would always have fireworks on their anniversary.” They shared thirty-two years of marriage before Larry’s departure of life. To the union two children were born.

She was proceeded in death by her father Dan Langston, husband Larry Don Denny, and sibling Jean Owens.

Survivors include her mother, Lois Mae Fields, two children, John and wife Amanda Denny, and Matthew Denny; five grandchildren, Preston Blake, Emily Rose, Taylor Mae, Delilah Dawn, and Larry Dean; and her siblings Danny Langston and Walter Owens. She also leaves behind many friends and family who will deeply miss her hugs and kindness.

Anna spent her childhood in Hartville, Missouri, where she graduated from Hartville High School. She then went on to attend college in Springfield, Missouri. She met Larry in Lebanon, Missouri.

Anna worked at the VF Factory Outlet while she attended college; however, the majority of her career was spent at the Camden County Probation and Parole office.

It is impossible to sum up such an incredible life in such a short space, and over this I have prayed!

Anna was such a genuine person, caring for all those she loved, welcoming each and every person with open arms. She was a true child of God; she was gentle, patient, faithful and good; she showered others with kindness, joy and love.

Anna was passionate about helping others and spending time with her family and friends. I can’t count the number of stories we shared; mostly anecdotes of the shenanigans between Kendra, Matthew, Riley, John and Courtney, or that of Larry, Jerry, and their countless friends; during these memories her face was shrouded with the biggest smile and her joy was contagious.

She found happiness through her love of plants, animals, and most of all those who surrounded her. The grandkids will always have memories of helping her water her numerous roses and plants. Her pups weren’t merely pets, they were companions. If she wasn’t tending to her garden, or pampering her pups, she was doting on her grandbabies, or talking on the phone with her mom.

As we reflect on our memories, I hope we can continue to celebrate her through our reminiscing, sharing our fond stories with one another. She will be greatly missed for many years to come; though she is gone, she will never be forgotten!

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 9, 2024 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10;00-11:00 a.m., in the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home.

If you wish to make a memorial contribution in Anna's memory, the family asks you make those payable to the family. It was always Anna's dream to have her own apple orchard and the family will use those contributions to plant one in her memory.
