BARBARA BURTON Barbara Belle Burton, daughter of William Levi and Amanda Ellen Leffert Martin, was born, March 10, 1929 in Decaturville, Missouri. She departed this life, Wednesday, January 13, 2016, in Ozark Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of eighty-six years, ten months and three days. On March 24, 1946 in Linn Creek, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Fred Samuel Burch and to this union one daughter was born. He preceded her in death. She married George Tillman Burton on June 6, 1992 in Linn Creek Baptist Church and they have enjoyed the past twenty-three years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers: John, Henry, T.M. and Madison Martin; three sisters, Bernice Torrington, Pearl Wagner Torrington and Gertrude Ginnings North and a step-son George M. Burton. Survivors include her husband, George T. Burton of Camdenton, Missouri; a daughter, Pamela Ratchford of Montreal, Missouri; two granddaughters, Leia Asbury and husband Joe of Centralia, Missouri and Elissa Routh and husband Shaun of Camdenton, Missouri; seven great-grandchildren, Michael, Lukas and Taylor Routh and Abbygale, Katelynn, James and Charles Asbury; four step-children, Ruth Corsentino of Springfield, Missouri, Bryant Burton and wife Brenda of Camdenton, Missouri, Doug Burton and wife June of Richland, Missouri and Rhonda Barry and husband Jim of St. Louis, Missouri; twelve step-grandchildren and ten step-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Barbara was a life-long resident of Camden County and attended Linn Creek School. Barbara made a profession of faith and was a member of Linn Creek Baptist Church In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, sewing, and reading. She loved the outdoors and gardening. She loved her roses and had a knack for growing them. She created many wonderful memories for her family and friends and we take comfort in knowing her memory will linger on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 16, 2016 in Linn Creek Baptist Church under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Percival Cemetery, Linn Creek. Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. in the church. Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association or Percival Cemetery and left at the funeral home or the church the day of the service. Barbara would also be pleased for friends and family to consider becoming an organ donor; a program that gave her son-in-law many more years with his family. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
