BARBARA SCHROEDER Barbara Rosetta Schroeder, daughter of Clyde Shoptaw and Rosa May KuyKendall was born on September 21, 1935 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with Jesus on Saturday, December 7, 2013 in her home, Camdenton, Missouri at the age seventy-eight. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; two sisters, Mildred Humphrey and Charlotte Hoots; two brothers, Raymond Shoptaw and Alferd J. Shoptaw and one daughter, Paula Brewster. Survivors include her son, Jonathan Holmes and his wife Jennifer of Camdenton, Missouri; one grandson, Zachariah Homes of Rolla, Missouri; two granddaughters, Samantha Holmes and Bradi Brewster of Camdenton, Missouri, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. After the loss of her daughter Paula, Barbara took in Paulas two year old daughter Bradi and raised her as her own. Barbara was united in marriage to Daniel Homes in 1953 and then later married Jim Schroder in 1965. Barbara dedicated her life to her family and her religion. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, December 14, 2013 at My Father's House Church, Camdenton, Missouri. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
