Barbara Ann Sorensen Barbara Ann Sorensen, daughter of Nick and Sylvia Lillard Kline, was born July 7, 1932 in Washington D.C. She departed this life Sunday, April 22, 2007 at her home in Camdenton, Missouri at the age of seventy-four years, nine months, and fifteen days. On April 1, 1951 Barbara was united in marriage to Thomas Ralph "Tom" Sorensen and to this union five children were born. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Gerald Kline. Barbara is survived by her husband of fifty-six years, Tom of the home; five children, Theresa Kindred and her husband, Gerald, of Marshall, Missouri, Augustus Sorensen and his wife, Amy, of Ogden, Utah, Dianne Clark and her husband, Joe, of Camdenton, Missouri, Laura Hull, of Camdenton, Missouri, Thomas Sorensen and his wife, Suzanne, of St. Louis, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bob Kline and his wife, Jean, of Springfield, Missouri, M. Phillip Kline, of East Lansing, Michigan, Don Kline and his wife, Myrna, of Camdenton, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends. Being the daughter of a military serviceman, Barbara spent most of her childhood traveling around the United States with her family. She was a graduate of Lebanon High School class of 1950. After her marriage in 1951, she and Tom moved to Gages Lake, Illinois before moving to Camdenton in 1973. Barbara was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 5923 in Camdenton; as well as a volunteer at the Camden County Museum. In her spare time, she enjoyed collecting Santa figurines, crocheting, knitting and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will treasure the wonderful memories she has created for her family and many friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2007 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society.
