BESSIE KILLOUGH Bessie May Killough, daughter of Elmer Roosevelt and Bethel Blankenship Jeffries, was born, November 5, 1940 in Montreal, Missouri. She departed this life, Monday, August 31, 2015, in her home, Tonganoxie, Kansas at the age of seventy-four years, nine months and twenty-six days. On March 22, 1999 in Miami, Oklahoma, she was united in marriage to Jackie Leon Killough. Together they shared sixteen years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her parents; a great-grandson, Brandon Morris; five brothers, Georgie, Donald, Johnny, Leonard James and William Kennth Jeffries and a sister, Anna Pauline Moulder. Survivors include her husband, Jack Killough of Tonganoxie, Kansas; a son, John H. Morris of Kansas City, Kansas; two grandsons, John Davis Morris and Timothy Morris; four great-granddaughters; a sister, Helen Molt of Camdenton, Missouri; a step-son, Jimmy John McComb; a step-daughter, JackieScott and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Bessie was raised in Camden County and was a graduate of Camdenton High School in the Class of 1958. She lived in Jefferson City for a time before making her home in the Kansas City area. She worked several jobs, but enjoyed being a homemaker. Bessie was saved and baptized at an early age in the Linn Creek Baptist Church. She was currently a member of Buffalo Prairie Baptist Church. She enjoyed the simple things of live and appreciated just being at home with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 3, 2015 in Linn Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Freedom Cemetery, Montreal. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. in the church. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
