Betty Dugan

Elizabeth Jane "Betty" Dugan, daughter of Clarence "Bug" and Lola M. Wilson Webster, was born, September 10, 1949 in Camden County, Missouri. She departed this life, Friday, June 27, 2008 in her home, Camdenton, Missouri at the age of fifty-eight years, nine months and sixteen days. On April 12, 1971 in Miami, Oklahoma, she was united in marriage to Cecil Dugan. Together they shared the past thirty-seven years. She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence "Bug" Webster, Sr., a brother, Lester "Mannie" Webster. Survivors include her husband, Cecil Dugan of the home; three children, Laura Rabe and husband Dean of Lebanon, Missouri, Marcie Barber and husband Robert of Camdenton, Missouri and Paul Dugan and wife Gayle of Camdenton, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Joseph Rabe, Christopher Rabe, Morgan Rabe, Rebecca Dugan, Jerrod Bouchard, Melissa Bouchard, Jerico Barber and Kyle Barber; a great-grandchild, Dylan Barber and one on the way, Jade; her mother Lola Webster of Camdenton, Missouri; two brothers, Claudie Webster and wife Fern and Clarence Webster, Jr. and wife Jeanie all of Camdenton, Missouri; five sisters, Thelma Moore and husband Delbert of Lebanon, Missouri, Virginia Webster of Camdenton, Missouri, Carol Vanderweide and husband Richard of Eldridge, Missouri, Bonnie Myers and husband Kenny of Eldridge, Missouri and Connie Gregorie and husband James of Camdenton, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Maxine Webster of Camdenton, Missouri and her special dog, Lady as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Betty was raised in Camden County, after she and Cecil were married, they moved to Sedalia, Missouri and later to Smithton, Missouri. While there, she worked for Bothwell Hospital and later owned a Merle Norman store. They moved back to Camden County in 1986. She had worked for Wal-Mart in Camdenton. She made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Webster Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She loved her church and was very active, having served as treasurer at one time. She loved her gardens and had a knack for growing beautiful flowers. She also enjoyed reading, doing puzzles and Butterfinger Blizzards. Anytime Wheel-Of-Fortune was on, she could be found in front of the TV watching. She was also a St. Louis Cardinal fan. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt and was a caring neighbor and friend. Although she left us too soon, we know that her memory will live on forever in our hearts. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 30, 2008 in Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Sunday in the funeral home.
