Betty Lou Denny

Betty Lou Denny, daughter of Arthur Thomas and Mabel (O’Neal) England, was born October 25, 1928 in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Sunday, December 18, 2022 in Arrowhead Senior Living at the age of ninety-four years, one month and twenty-three days.

On December 22, 1944 Betty was united in marriage to Aubrey O. Denny and to this union, one daughter was born. Together they shared seventy-three wonderful years of marriage until Aubrey’s passing on September 18, 2017.

Betty was also preceded in death by her mother Mabel England and a brother Ray England.

She is survived by her daughter Darlene Denny of Camdenton, Missouri.

Betty spent her younger years living in Lebanon and later moved to Camdenton where she would reside for the remainder of her life.

Betty was saved and was a member of Myetta Missionary Baptist Church for many years.

During her working years, Betty was employed at the Night Hawk Café, Connie’s Diner and Adams Café. She also spent time working at Camdenton High School as a Day Custodian, where she occasionally also filled in as a cook in the lunch room.

She had a knack for baking and was known for her homemade hot rolls and bread. She never used a recipe and her bread turned out perfect every time.

In her spare time, Betty enjoyed to travel. She took many tours in various locations and especially liked to travel to Florida.

Betty was a loving mother and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories she has created for her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, December 27, 2022 in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of service Tuesday. Burial will follow in Myetta Cemetery.
