Burlie Joe “B.J.” Wilson Burlie Joe Wilson, son of Lemuel Tiblow and Esta Jane Jeffries Wilson, was born, February 26, 1926 in Freedom, Missouri. He departed this life, Tuesday, November 24, 2015, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of eighty-nine years, eight months and twenty-nine days. On August 9, 1953 in Kansas City, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Olabell Willsey and to this union three children were born. Together they shared sixty-two years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Eunice Jane Wilson. Survivors include his wife, Olabell Wilson of the home; three children, Jeff Wilson of Montreal, Missouri and, the mother of his Jeff’s children Brenda Tribble of Macks Creek, Missouri, Becky Carroll and husband Tom of Montreal, Missouri and Billy Wilson and wife Wanda of Osage Beach, Missouri; six grandchildren, Kenny Carroll and wife Naia of Camdenton, Mandy Carroll, of Montreal, Jeffrey Wilson and wife Heather of Montreal, Jacob Wilson and wife Ashley of Iberia, Travis Wilson of Lebanon and Wade Wilson and wife Jamie of Camdenton; thirteen great-grandchildren, Shelby and J.T. Carroll, Colton, Brian and Ty Glawson, Kayla, Kelsie and Chase Wilson, Lane and Lily Wilson and Gunner, Garrett and Isabelle Wilson; a step-great-granddaughter, Tabitha Doner and a host of other relatives and many friends. Burlie was a life-long resident of the Freedom area of Camden County. He was a graduate of Linn Creek High School. He was a truck driver for Consumer’s Coop in Kansas City for many years. He drove a school bus for the Camdenton R-III district for thirteen years. He and Olabell managed the Missouri Trap Shooters Association for many years. Burlie enjoyed guns and shooting sports and as a result was a member of the M.T.A., the A.T.A. and the N.R.A. He was also a member of the Camden County Republicans Club. He was well-known for his delicious watermelons he grew and enjoyed raising large gardens of food each year. He loved to hunt and be outdoors. He raised many hunting dogs throughout the years. Most of all, time spent with his family was special. Burlie Joe led a long life with many chapters that included so many people, whether he hunted with you, drove your bus, cut your Christmas tree, provided you with the BEST homegrown watermelons ever or taught you the responsibility of a job or how to shoot a shotgun like a pro. He loved his kids, grandkids, great grandkids and everybody else's kids! He was loved by many and will be missed by all of us Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 28, 2015 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m., Saturday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Lake Regional Hospital Serenity Suite Program and left at the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
