Carol Holthouse

Carol Sue Holthouse, daughter of Donald and Carolyn Stegner, was born October 24, 1935 in Connersville, Indiana. She departed this life June 30, 2016 in her home, Camdenton, Missouri, at the age of eighty years, eight months, and six days. On August 17, 1957, Carol was united in marriage to William David Holthouse, and two children were born. Her parents preceded Carol in death. Carol is survived by her husband, David, of the home; a son, Joe Holthouse of Columbia, Missouri; a daughter, Julia Holthouse, of Rutland, Vermont; a grandson, Garrett Frost, of Omaha, Nebraska; granddaughter, Katlin Holthouse, of Columbia, Missouri; her younger brother, Richard Brown, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. Carol spent her younger years living in Indiana, and was a graduate of Richmond Senior High and Elkhart University. She was baptized into the Catholic Church and was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church. Carol and David had moved from Stuart, Florida to the Lake of the Ozarks in 2012 to be closer to their children. While living at the lake, she made several friends and enjoyed spending time on the water. She was also a member of the D.A.R., Willoughby Golf Club in Stuart, Florida, an active cruising member of the Stuart Corinthian Yacht Club in Stuart, Florida, as well as the Junior League of Atlanta, Georgia. Carol had spent time working as an X-Ray Technician at Reid Memorial Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. In her spare time, Carol enjoyed gardening, antiquing, and playing golf at Willoughby Golf Club in Stuart, Florida. Spending time with her family and friends was very important to her. Memorial services will be held at a later date in Columbia, Missouri. The family suggests memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation and may be sent to Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home at 15 Clint Avenue, Camdenton, Missouri 65020.
