Carolyn Darlene Monnig, daughter of Raymond Monnig . and Geneva Wilkerson Monnig, was born, March 2, 1940 in Glasgow, Missouri. She departed this life, August 16, 2022, in Windsor Estates Care Center, Camdenton, Missouri at the age of eighty-two years, five months and fourteen days. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Gena Crabtree. She is survived by her two sons, Chris Danuser of Kaiser, Missouri, Greg Fry and wife Jenny of Montreal, Missouri; son-in-law, Brant Crabtree of Rolla, Missouri; five grandchildren, Brendon Crabtree, Dylan Fry, Austyn Fry, Jazlynn Fry, and Zayne Fry; one sister, Cindy Patton of Camdenton, Missouri; four brothers, Larry Monnig of Kansas City, Bill Monnig and wife Pauline of Glasgow, Missouri, Ronnie Monnig and wife Deanna of Ash Grove, Missouri, and Mike Monnig and wife Sharon of Camdenton, Missouri of Camdenton, Missouri. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Carolyn was raised in Glasgow, Missouri and graduated from Glasgow High School. She then attended Lincoln University prior to starting her family and her career. Her professional career had her working as a clerical typist II for the Missouri Division of Insurance; secretary of medical records with Osage Beach Health Care; owned and operated the Montreal General store with her husband Eddie as well as a Supervisor at Wal-Mart in Camdenton, Missouri. Carolyn made a profession of Catholic faith and kept her faith a priority throughout her life. In her spare time Carolyn loved art, dancing, visiting with friends and family, and loved to read. She had a love for listening to and enjoying anything Elvis. Above all things, Carolyn took great pride in each of her children. She was a loving and a caring, mother, sister, grandmother, neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the Buffalo Prairie Cemetery, Montreal, Missouri. Visitation will take place directly after the graveside service at the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brandon Crabtree, Dylan Fry, Austyn Fry, Zayne Fry, Rick Messer, and Jerry Brown. Memorial donations may be made to CADV and left at the funeral home or mailed to CADV at 45 5th St. Camdenton, MO 65020 or Donations may also be made to the American Cancer Society and mailed to P.O. Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741 Arrangements are incomplete at this time and under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri.
