Charles Patton

Charles Patton, son of Charles and Barbara (Knox) Patton, was born April 27, 1933 in Benton County, Missouri. He departed this life Friday, June 8, 2007, at Ozark Care Center in Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of seventy-four years, one month and twelve days. On July 3, 1952, he was united in marriage to Charletta June Buell, and to this union one daughter and two sons were born. In 1991, Charletta passed away. On May 11, 1994, in Camdenton, Missouri, Charles was united in marriage to Ruby Louise Briggs and together they shared the last thirteen years. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and nine brothers and sisters. Charles is survived by his wife, Ruby, of Lebanon, Missouri; a daughter, Kathy Twenter, and her husband, Terry, of Sedalia, Missouri; two sons, Rick Patton, and his wife, Teresa, of Houstonia, Missouri, and Brian Patton, and his wife, Dana, of Holden, Missouri; a step-daughter, Dr. Tamila Kindwall, and her husband, Kevin Keller, of Cleveland, Ohio; a step-son, Anthony Kindwall, and his wife, Christi, of Camdenton, Missouri; five grandchildren; a brother, Warren Patton, and his wife, Ruth, of Ontario, Canada; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born and raised in rural Benton County, Missouri. After meeting and marrying his first wife, Charletta, they soon made their home in Sedalia, Missouri. Charles operated Patton's Auto Service for several years, and then after Charletta's passing, he owned and operated Chardon's Restaurant. In 1994, he and Ruby were married and they made their retirement home in the Linn Creek community. While living in the Camdenton area, Charles attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Lebanon, Missouri, and in 2004, he was baptized into membership. In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors where his favorite activities were gardening and fishing. He also liked relaxing and watching television. Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he made for his family and many friends. Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 13, 2007 in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia, Missouri, with Pastor Neil Dye officiating, under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri. Memorial donations may be made to the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Lebanon, Missouri through the funeral home at 15 Clint Avenue, Camdenton, Missouri 65020.
