Charles Raymond Burns

Charles Raymond Burns, son of Floyd R. and Dorothy Webster Burns, was born, December 29, 1943 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He departed this life, Monday, January 27, 2020, in his home, at the age of seventy-six years and twenty-nine days. On March 2, 1968 he was united in marriage to Bonnie Faye Beville and to this union one son was born. After her passing, he was united in marriage to Judith Ann Peters on November 4, 2006 and together they shared thirteen years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents; the mother of their son, Bonnie Faye Burns; his brother and sister-in-law, Eugene Bud and Barbara Burns; his sister, Shirley Welsh; several nephews and nieces and two step-daughters, Stephanie Morris and Lori McGuire. Survivors include his wife Judy of the home; his son William Ray Burns and wife Stephanie of Camdenton, Missouri; his two grandsons, Trenton Skyler Burns and Sheldon Floyd Burns both of Camdenton, Missouri; his two brothers, Floyd Jr. Burns and wife Margaret and Phil Burns and wife Vickie all of Camdenton, Missouri; his step-children, Marie Terry and husband David of Linn Creek, Missouri, Brenda Hunter and husband Ronnie of Waynesville, Missouri, Eric Martin and wife Paula of Linn Creek, Missouri, Allen Wright of Eldridge, Missouri, Loretta Fogal and husband Ronald of Camdenton, Missouri; twenty step-grandchildren; forty-two step great-grandchildren; five step great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Charles was a lifelong resident of Camdenton. He went to school in Camdenton thru the fourth grade and then attended school at Portage High School thru the tenth grade. He then earned his GED while he proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a truck driver for Jays Manufacturing for eleven years and MFA Propane for twenty-three years until his retirement. Charles was saved and was a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. In his spare time, he was an avid outdoor sportsman. He loved to hunt, especially rabbit hunting and going fishing. You could often find him camping and boating. Charles took pride in his garden, enjoyed dancing and was the ultimate jerry rigger. He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 1, 2020 in Myetta Missionary Baptist Church, Camdenton, Missouri. Burial will follow in Myetta Cemetery, Camdenton. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of service in the church. .Memorial donations may be made to the Myetta Cemetery and left at the church or mailed to Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, 15 Clint Avenue, Camdenton, Missouri 65020. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
