CHLOE BURNS Chloe Burns, daughter of Thomas Jefferson and Stella Jane McGuire Rogers, was born, February 19, 1919 in Camden County, Missouri. She departed this life, Thursday, July 12, 2012, in Windsor Estates Care Center, Camdenton, Missouri at the age of ninety-three years, four months and twenty-three days. On October 5, 1940 in Decaturville, Missouri she was united in marriage to Lee Willard Burns and to this union four children were born. Together they shared fifty-two years of marriage before his passing on January 22, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and three sisters. Survivors include her children, Nancy North and husband Dennis of Camdenton, Missouri, Reverend Paul Burns and wife Crystle of Camdenton, Missouri, Willa Faulkner of Oak Grove, Missouri and Jim Burns and wife Kim of Camdenton, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Myers of Willard, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Chloe was raised in Kellyville, Oklahoma and graduated from High School there. After her marriage, she made her home in Missouri. She was a homemaker, help-mate to her husband and a mother. Chloe made a profession of faith and was a member of Mt. Horeb Missionary Baptist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing and gardening. She was an excellent cook and always enjoyed cooking for her family. Time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, was precious to her. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. She touched many lives and her memory will linger on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 14, 2012 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Horeb Cemetery, Decaturville. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Mt. Horeb Cemetery and left at the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
