CHRIS DESPAIN Chris Harrison DeSpain passed away at age sixty-five on June 27, 2014 at his home in Linn Creek, Missouri after battling cancer. Chris was born on June 21, 1949 in North Bend, Oregon. His parents, George DeSpain and Bev Cullers preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Judith Moulder-DeSpain, with whom he spent thirty-four wonderful years of marriage; his son, Jeff Hasker and wife Melanie; his daughter, Kellie Gurwell and husband Fred; his uncle Leo DeSpain and wife; two brothers, Lynn and wife Judy DeSpain and brother Mike Cullers and wife Val; brother-in-law Kenny and wife Tami Moulder; sister-in-law Connie Jung and husband Craig; grandchildren, Torrin, Destin, Chase, Jared and Nathaniel, and more than a handful of nieces and nephews. Chris was a Vietnam Veteran and served his country with honors. He created a memorial for all Vietnam Veterans and felt very strongly about is fellow Marines. Chris enjoyed spending his time outdoors working on his property. After retiring, his days were spent tinkering with his stuff and working on anything mechanical. He had a passion for vintage automobiles and treasured his MG and corvette. Chris will be forever remembered for his love of fireworks and celebrating our countries Independence Day. The Fourth of July will never be the same without his grand finale. Chris will be eternally missed and always in the hearts of his family and friends. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
