CLIFFORD RUFF Clifford Eugene Ruff Sr., son of Rexford Lloyd Ruff Jr. and Pauline Nichols Gimlin Burns, was born, August 2, 1952 in Moline, Illinois. He departed this life, Tuesday, March 1, 2011, in his home, Camdenton, Missouri at the age of fifty-eight years, six months and twenty-seven days. On November 21, 1973 in St. Louis, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Susan Mae Bachmann and to this union three children were born. Together they shared thirty-seven years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Angel Lynn Ruff and a sister, Nancy Murphy. Survivors include his wife, Susan Ruff of the home; a daughter, Diane Ruff and partner, Jennifer Krechel of St. Louis, Missouri; a son, Clifford E. Ruff, Jr. and wife Shannon of Camdenton, Missouri; a grandson, Andrew Thomas Ruff; a sister, Fran Watson Martin of Dexter, Missouri and a host of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Clifford was raised in Moline, Illinois and was a graduate of Rock Island High School in the class of 1970. After graduation, he served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. After being discharged, he moved to St. Louis where he and Susan met and married. He received two Associates degrees; one from Basic Institute of Technology in Computer Engineer Technology and the other from Sanford Brown College in Paralegal Studies. The family moved to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1996. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time of the computer, especially Facebook. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed hockey, baseball and Nascar. He especially enjoyed football on Sundays. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 4, 2011 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will be held at 1:30 pm., Monday, March 7, 2011 in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St Louis, Missouri. Memorial donations may be made to a fund established to assist the family and left at the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
