CLINTON WAYNE WHITE Clinton Wayne White, son of Amon C. and Elsie A. White, was born, May 28, 1929 in Jasper, Missouri. He entered into eternal rest, Saturday, January 24, 2009 in St. Mary's Health Center, Jefferson City, Missouri at the age of seventy-nine years, seven months and twenty-seven days. He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece, Mindy Witte. Survivors include his wife, Melodie White of the home; a daughter, Linda J. Carlson of Grants Pass, Oregon; a step-daughter, Sabra Cabrera of Laurie, Missouri; two grandsons, J.D. Carlson and Brandon Carlson both of San Bruno, California; three great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Gabrella and Triston Carlson all of San Bruno, California; a brother, Calvin J. White and wife Louise of Crawford, Florida; two nieces, Dawn White and Dixie Witte both of Florida and two nephews, Calvin J. White, Jr. and wife Andrea of Florida and Marshall Witte of Kansas City, Missouri. Wayne was raised in the Kansas City area and was a graduate of Central High School in Kansas City in the class of 1947. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he returned to Kansas City and began a career with Southwestern Bell. He retired as a lineman after thirty years of service. He retired to the lake area in 1980 where he owned C.W. Place on Highway 5 for two years. Wayne was a long-time member of the American Legion Zack Wheat Post and the Osage Community Elks Lodge # 2705 both in Laurie. He was a honorary life-member of the Communications Workers of America and a life-member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He will be missed by all who loved him so much. A memorial service and military honors will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 30, 2009 in the American Legion Zack Wheat Post. Memorial donations may be made to Community of Christ Outreach Center Food Bank, P.O. Box 204, Sunrise Beach, MO 65079. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
