Crystal was a former resident of Richland, Missouri where she was a member of First Baptist Church. During her working years, she held many jobs, first working as a farm laborer. She worked in Michigan as a UAW, United Auto Worker, at Brown Shoe Company and the window factory in Richland, Missouri, then finally for HD Lee until the company shut down in 1999. She then retired and settled down to become a homemaker. She was united in marriage to Dennis C. Evans at age 16 and together they had three children and two stepchildren. Crystal was a "people person" and would attempt to help anyone that needed help. She enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. One of her proud accomplishments was raising Akalaya who helped to keep Crystal young at heart. She enjoyed collecting figurines, especially crosses, angels and snow globes and had an extensive collection of each for many years. Crystal also felt a grand love for her dogs; Babe, whom she adopted after her brother Jerry passed away, and two other dogs, Lil Bit and Puppy. Each were at her side consistently and were very devoted to her. Unfortunately, in her later years, Crystal suffered from several strokes. She resided at Rosewood Manor in Richland, Missouri where she rekindled friendships with many people that she had attended church with in her younger years. She also resided at Hermitage Nursing and Rehab, where she developed friendships with the staff and other patients. A memorial service will be held in her honor at First Baptist Church in Richland, Missouri officiated by Pastor Matt Brady on December 19, 2020. Arrangements were under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
