Cynthia Ellen Ballin Cynthia Ellen Ballin, daughter of Harold and Gloria Whittaker Pratt, II, was born, July 24, 1949 in Haddonfield, New Jersey. She departed this life, Wednesday, August 10, 2016 in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of sixty-seven years, and seventeen days. On August 12, 1996, she was united in marriage to Joseph Ballin. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Joseph Ballin; two stepsons, Tim Ballin and wife Tina of West Chicago, Illinois and Joe Ballin and wife Dawn of Schaumburg, Illinois; two grandchildren, Carley Ann Ballin and Parker Joseph Ballin; one brother, Harold Pratt, III and wife Mary of North Brook, Illinois and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She is also survived by her faithful dog, Salem. Cyndi was born in New Jersey and moved to the Midwest as a child to Itasca, Illinois. She attended Palatine High School and then completed her education at Stephens College. Cyndi worked as a flight attendant for American Airlines and then became a travel agent for M & M Interglobe Travel for many years. She had a special gift for doing her job as a travel agent and was loved by all of her clients. She moved to the Lake of the Ozarks in 2002 and worked at Bank Star One as a Customer Service Representative until her retirement in August, 2015. She was a member of The Well Armed Woman. Cyndi had accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing and cooking. Cyndi loved to travel and went on numerous cruises and countless adventures, no doubt making friends and spreading her light everywhere she went. The thing that she enjoyed most though, was the time spent with family and friends. She was a very thoughtful and hospitable hostess. Cyndi loved life and had a way of making everyone around her love life as well. She has created many memories for her family and friends to treasure. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments as a loving wife, stepmother, grandmother, sister and friend. Visitation services for Cynthia Ellen Ballin will be held 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 15, 2016 in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wedensday, August 17, 2016 in Ahlgrim and Son's Funeral Home in Schaumburg, Illinois. Burial will follow in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine, Illinois. Visitation will be from 9-11:00a.m. Wednesday morning in Ahlgrim and Son's Funeral Home, Schaumburg, Illinois. Arrangements are under the care of the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
