Cynthia Lea Byler born October 25th, 1956 in Dubuque, Iowa went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 27th, 2018 where she will be embraced by her father and mother, Ed & Edna Spautz. Cynthia was a beloved wife of 41 years to Bentley Gene Byler; amazing mother to Wade Tomas Byler, Ashley Kane Byler, Jesse Lea Byler, Rachel Elizabeth Ollison, Jacob Cole Byler, Blaine Elliot Byler, & Savannah Lynn Byler; an outstanding step mother to Hubert Clayton Byler & Shaun Marie Byler-Weyer; she also became known and loved as a mother in-law to Sherri Soum, Sara Silverwood, Lisa Byler, Rob Ollison, Karissa Byler, Nichole Byler, and Colt Robinson; an irreplaceable grandmother to Taylor, Dillon, Samantha, Adreanna, Kaitlyn, Lucas, Madilyn, Ella, Kane, Cole, Allyssa, Tomas, Gracie, Kara, Cashton, Regan, Treyton, Paisley, Weston, & Woodrow; a loving sister to Sandra Leap, Randy Spautz, Timothy Spautz, Patricia Muscia, Lori Conner, & Florene Weems; and a cherished aunt, niece, cousin, friend, & saving grace to many others here on earth. Cynthia lovingly raised her children as a stay at home mother until they reached grade school age; during that time, she became a devoted member of Linn Creek Baptist Church while sharing the love of Jesus Christ with children she taught in Sunday School. Cynthia always chased her dreams no matter how far they took her. As a talented artist, she attended Lincoln University where she received her Bachelors of Fine Arts and was honored to have the opportunity to attend the University of Columbia where she received her Master’s. She was humbled when her artwork was put on display in companies around the University. After finishing her education, she returned to Lincoln University to teach several art classes where she enjoyed sharing her passions with numerous students. Throughout the years, Cynthia excelled at each career she pursued, even taking her as far as California. Her most recent career brought her back to Linn Creek where she worked from her home office for many prestigious corporations as a Webinar Designer, designing online training curriculums. This position allowed her to be surrounded by her grandchild where she found herself the happiest. In her free time, she enjoyed creating and sharing her love of art with others, while selling her creations; but her most cherished time was spent with the people she held dear to her heart. Cynthia loved big, embraced everyone with an open heart, and positively impacted many lives in a way only she could. Cynthia was an eccentric, adventurous, generous, and passionate woman. Allee-Holman-Howe is assisting the Byler family. A celebration service honoring Cynthia’s life will be held at Linn Creek Baptist Church on Thursday, February 1st, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. Burial directly following at Freedom Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her father and mother. The Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Byler Family at Linn Creek Baptist Church where Cynthia was a devoted believer and lead her family on the righteous path.
