DALE JEFFRIES Homer Dale Jeffries, son of Leonard Toliver and Elizabeth “Liza” Jeffries Jeffries, was born, August 19, 1934 in Zebra, Missouri. He departed this life, Sunday, August 16, 2015, in University Hospital, Columbia, Missouri at the age of eighty years, eleven months and twenty-eight days. On March 3, 1966, he was united in marriage to Carolyn Nelson and to this union one daughter was born. She preceded him in death. On October 15, 1993, he married Daphne Ann Marsh. Together they have shared the past twenty-one years of marriage. Survivors include his wife, Daphne Jeffries of Linn Creek, Missouri; a daughter, Lucinda Garner and husband Jeremy of Lebanon, Missouri; four grandchildren, Shannon Dale Geller and wife Michelle of Jerome, Missouri, Tiffany Williams and husband Jeremy, Kaytlynn Garner and William Garner all of Lebanon, Missouri; two great-granddaughters, Jarica Geller and Grace Anderson; three step-children, Elizabeth Evans and husband Doyle of Macks Creek, Missouri, Thomas Marsh and wife Heather of Lake Ozark, Missouri and Christopher Marsh of Camdenton, Missouri; eight step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Darrell Jeffries and wife Janice "Hazel" and Freddy Jeffries and wife Judy all of Camdenton, Missouri; three nephews; one niece and a host of other relatives and many friends. Dale was born the year the lake was formed and was raised at the lake. He lived in Otterville and later Grove Springs, Missouri, but the lake was always home. He worked as a surveyor and was a truck driver. He spent countless hours working at the Camden County Historical Museum. He served on the board of directors for the Camden County Historical Society. He was a member of the Dogwood Festival planning committee for over twenty years. Dale made a profession of faith and was a member of New Home Baptist Church. He loved going to church and participating in church activities. He was a collector of anything collectible. He was a member of the Camden County Historical Society and enjoyed working with the group. Most of all, time spent with family and friends was special to him. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We were blessed to be a part of his life and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, August 20, 2015 in New Home Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m., Thursday in the church. Graveside services and burial will be Friday August 21, 2015 in New Home Cemetery, Camdenton. Memorial donations may be made to Camden County Historical Museum or New Home Church and left at the funeral home or the church the day of the service. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
