DALE THOMURE Robert Dale Thomure, son of Delios Robert and Julie Grandinetti Thomure, was born, November 15, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri. He departed this life, Sunday, August 14, 2011, in St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield, Missouri at the age of fifty-eight years, eight months and thirty days. On April 28, 2001 in St. Louis, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Janice Lynn Niepoth-Holdcraft. Together they shared ten years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Survivors include his wife, Jan Thomure of Climax Springs, Missouri; a step-daughter, Lisa Holdcraft of Orlando, Florida and a host of cousins, other relatives and many friends. Dale spent the early years of his life in St. Louis. The family moved to St. Charles when he was a young boy. He was a graduate of Francis Howell High School in the class of 1970. He received a Bachelor's degree from Central Missouri State University in 1974. While in college he was a member of the Beta Sigma Psi fraternity and serve as national vice-president for several years. He worked as a packaging engineer and transportation specialist for Emmerson Electric/S.E.I. Corporation until 1997. He then began a career as a master craftsman in woodworking and owned and operated RiverCity WoodWrights. He has a passion and a gifted talent for making furniture and restoring antiques. In his spare time, Dale loved motorcycles, especially his Harley Davidson. He also enjoyed the lake life, fishing and boating. He enjoyed horse shores and could pitch a pretty mean game. He was a loving husband, step-father and cousin and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, in the Camdenton Middle School's Little Theatre, located at 88 Laker Drive in Camdenton. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking memorial donations be made to Dogwood Animal Shelter or S.T.A.F.F. in care of the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisted the family with cremation arrangements.
