Dale Edwin Wilson, son of Don and Zelpha Lucinda Warren Wilson, was born, October 4, 1939 in Atlantic, Iowa. He departed this life, February 12, 2021, in Arrowhead Senior Living, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of eighty-one years, four months and eight days. On June 10, 1962, he was united in marriage to Nell Janette Lemon and to this union three sons were born. Together they shared fifty-eight years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Gary Wilson; his sister, Marie; his daughter-in-law, Rozella Wilson and his grandson, Jansen Wilson. Survivors include his wife, Nell of Osage Beach, Missouri; his two sons, Leonard Wilson and wife Ann of Conway, Arkansas and Carl Wilson of Camdenton, Missouri; three grandchildren, Colin Wilson of Springfield, Missouri and Alex and Ahvielle Wilson of Conway, Arkansas; two brothers, David Wilson and friend Gayle of Seattle, Washington and Lloyd Wilson and wife Marilyn of Atlantic, Iowa and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Dale was raised and attended high school in Atlantic, Iowa. He then attended college in Iowa State where he received his Master’s Degree in Mathematics. He taught school in Iowa before moving to Laquey and then to Crocker where he taught seventh grade math in Waynesville School for twenty-five years before his retirement. After his retirement, Dale and Nell could be found walking their dogs. In his spare time, he loved feeding and watching the birds, doing crossword puzzles and especially reading westerns by Louis L’Amour. He loved woodworking and watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball and any kind of football. He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. A visitation will be held at 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 25, 2021 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri. Memorial donations may be made to the family and left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
