David Dale “Davey” McGuire Sr., son of John and Gracie Looney McGuire, was born, May 5, 1957 in Camdenton, Missouri. He departed this life, January 18, 2021, in his home, in Montreal, Missouri at the age of sixty-three years, eight months and thirteen days. On May 7, 1976, in Paul and Crystal Burns home, he was united in marriage to Debra Leffert and to this union two children were born. Together they shared forty-four years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Delbert, Larry, Johnny and Gary; two sisters, Betty Miller and Marjorie Boyle and three infant siblings. Survivors include his wife, Debra of the home; his son, David McGuire, Jr. and wife Toni of Montreal, Missouri; his daughter, Amanda Oldham and husband Ed of Montreal, Missouri; his former daughter-in-law whom he thought of as a daughter, Kathy Steele of Lebanon, Missouri; five granddaughters, Summer McGuire, Jayden and Grace Oldham all of Montreal, Missouri and Paige and Riley Taylor of Lebanon, Missouri; two grandsons, Johnathan Vencill and Garrett Rush and wife Ashley; one great-grandson, Chance Vencill; four brothers, Gene McGuire and wife Evelyn, Glenn McGuire, James McGuire and Tucker McGuire all of Camdenton, Missouri; four sisters, Crystal Burns of Camdenton, Missouri, Frances Stamper of Montreal, Missouri, Linda Leffert and husband Carl of Camdenton, Missouri and Wanda McGuire and Danny McDaniel of Camdenton, Missouri; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Davey was a lifelong resident of Camden County. He spent his working career as a dump truck driver and heavy machinery operator for Camden County Road and Bridge until his retirement. Davey was saved and was a member of Mt. Horeb Missionary Baptist Church in Decaturville, Missouri. In his spare time Davey enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also liked to work on cars and lawn mowers. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 22, 2021 in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Horeb Cemetery, Decaturville. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m. Thursday evening in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the family and left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
