A few years following her schooling, she was united marriage to Thomas Black on February 20, 1982, together sharing forty-two years of marriage. They remained in the United Kingdom for twenty-two years, before moving to Camdenton, Missouri in 2004. While Thomas was working, Denise took care of the home and spent time home schooling her children. Regardless of circumstance, she made sure her family was taken care of both emotionally and financially. Although Thomas worked to make the money, Denise financed the money, making sure all the expenses were paid and even managed to put money back for a rainy day.
In her spare time, Denise enjoyed arts and crafts, jigsaw puzzles, spending time with her family and caring for animals, especially early on when she would watch a St. Bernard named, Tiny.
Denise was a very giving person, always making sure those around her were taken care of. She was the caretaker, she made sure her friends and family knew that.
Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
