Dennis Leap

Dennis Ray Leap, son of Donald Lee and Thelma Ann Eidson Leap, was born October 24, 1955 in Camdenton, Missouri. He departed this life Monday, December 26, 2016 in Lakeside Meadows, Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of sixty-one years, two months, and two days. His parents; a daughter, Melissa Leap; his wife, Karan Leap; and three nephews, Jason Rogers, Andy Reynolds, and Brian Scott preceded Dennis in death. Dennis is survived by his daughter, Jessica Simpson and husband Luke, of Eldon, Missouri; four sisters, Pam Scott and husband John, of Dadeville, Missouri, Kathy Saunders and husband Mitch, of Nixa, Missouri, Jennifer Rogers and Stan Stidham, of Linn Creek, Missouri, and Diane Walston, of Camdenton, Missouri; a number of nieces, nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends. Dennis was a lifelong resident of Camdenton and was a graduate of Camdenton High School in the Class of 1974. He worked at the Camdenton Post Office for many years. He later worked in construction for a number of years until his health forced him to retire. He was saved as a child at Parrack Grove Missionary Baptist Church. In his spare time, Dennis enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing pool in the BCA Pool League, playing softball, and spending time with his family and friends, especially his nieces and nephews. Dennis was a caring father, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories he has created for his family and many dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2016 in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Macks Creek, Missouri. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the time of service, Friday, in the funeral home.
