Donald Mizer

Donald Jack Mizer, son of Carol Mizer and the late Jack Mizer, was born on May 2, 1954 and departed this life on January 5, 2024. At the time of his passing, Donald was sixty-nine years, eight months and three days of age.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Mizer; father, Jack Mizer; and his sister, Shirely Mitchell.


He is survived by his two children, Michael & wife Amanda Mizer and Melissa & husband Davey Perryman; three sisters, Brenda & husband Ken Osborn, Debbie & husband Harry Young and Sandy Massey; seven grandchildren, Austin Mizer, Cody Delcour, Mikayla Mizer, Madison Mizer, Trey Perryman, Lydiann Perryman, and Hannah Perryman; and one great-grandchild. Donald also leaves behind many friends and other family members who will truly miss him.


Donald was born in Kansas City, Kansas but raised in Lebanon, Missouri, where he would later graduate from Lebanon High School. Following his graduation, Donald was united in marriage to Marilyn Jones on January 19, 1973, in Decaturville, Missouri. Together they would share thirty-seven years of marriage until Marilyn’s passing in 2010.


Throughout Donald’s working years, he was the owner of Don Mizer Construction. In his spare time, Donald enjoyed building & remodeling houses, old cars and going to Antique and Flea Markets.


He was a loving father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends.
