Donald "Shorty" R. Jones

Donald “Shorty” Ray. Jones, son of Okal and Connie Jones, was born, July 2, 1941 in Montreal, Missouri. He departed this life, Friday, February 16, 2018, in his home, Camdenton, Missouri at the age of seventy-six years, seven months and fourteen days. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James Jones and a sister Barbara Cox. Survivors include his niece, Sandra Byler of Linn Creek, Missouri, other relatives and many friends. Donald was born and raised in the Montreal area where he attended his early years of school, before moving to Camdenton R-III from which he graduated in the class of 1959. He worked on the family farm. He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force from which retired as a Staff Sergeant. Donald was a Christian man. He had attended New Home Baptist Church and had taught Sunday school there. In his spare time, Shorty (as he was called by many) loved to fish, being outdoors and spending time with his dog. He was a loving uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 1, 2018, in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home.
