Donna Marie Blomberg Borders, age sixty five, joined her Lord on January 3rd, 2020 following a long battle with heart failure. She was the daughter of Keith Blomberg and Stella Smith. Donna was born January 26,1954 in Bravier, Missouri. Her parents and siblings relocated to the Camdenton area early in her life. Surviving immediate family are daughter Amanda Borders, her partner Daniel Ogle and their daughter Madison of Linn Creek, Missouri; daughter BeLinda Cordes, her husband Tom Cordes and their daughter Elyssia of St. James, Missouri; a brother, Bill Blomberg and family of Versailles, Missouri and Aunt Brenda and her husband Ronnie Denson of Clifton Hill, Missouri. Donna graduated class of 1972 from Camdenton High School where she was a proud member of the Laker Marching Band, Concert and Madrigals Choirs and a member of the National Honor Society. She enjoyed her work as an Executive Assistant to Mike and Linda Craig for many years and also worked for a time with the Lake Ozarks Convention and Visitor’s Bureau. She was a proud member of the Camdenton United Methodist Church; active in the church Chancel Choir, played hand bells and volunteered with the Meals On Wheels Program. She enjoyed performing at church and with the Camden County Museum Players, where she acted in many plays, melodramas and dinner theater productions at the Linn Creek Museum. She also played Mrs. Santa in the Lake Ozark Christmas Parade for several years. She shared with those who knew her a love of music, color and faith. She collected angels, enjoyed reading romances, baking and cooking for family. She was a fan of Days of Our Lives, old Westerns, the Beach Boys and Elvis Presley. She often preferred vanilla over chocolate, drank sun tea with Sugar Twin and adored the simple pleasures of butterflies and rainbows. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, neighbor and friend. We celebrate her accomplishments and remember that she would encourage us to live, laugh, love and don’t forget to hug each other. Visitation will be held 3:00 PM Monday, January 13, 2020 at the Camdenton United Methodist Church, located at 340 W US Highway 54 in Camdenton, Missouri. A Celebration of Life Memorial will follow visitation at 4:00 PM. Memorial donations may be made to a fund that has been established and left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri.
