Donna Kay Talley

Donna Kay Talley, daughter of the late Cecil Elsworth & Florence Madelyn (Burris) Johnson, was born on June 18, 1942 in Anderson, Indiana and departed this life on December 6, 2023 in Osage Beach, Missouri. At the time of her passing, Donna was eighty-one years, five months and eighteen days.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her daughter, Terry Barbee

She is survived by her Children, Debbie Martin, Billy Lawrence, Jeannette & husband Gary McSwain; step-children, Stephen Talley Jr. and James Talley; son-in-law, Steelie Barbee; seven grandchildren including, Blake Talley, Felicity McSwain, Joey Martin and Christina Martin; and five great-grandchildren.

Donna was raised and attended school in Lawrence, Indiana and after she finished her schooling, she spent time on her family farm. She moved to Camdenton in the early 70's, after moving to Camdenton and was united in marriage to Richard Talley they shared twelve years together. In that union she was gifted her youngest daughter and two boys. She enjoyed camping, fishing and going to amusement parks with her family. She also gained a love for racing during this time, that would continue throughout her life.

In her working years, she worked for various places around Camdenton, such as Tan-Tara, McDonalds, Hardees and CJs, now known as RJ’s. Donna also spent many years caring for numerous children and to them, was affectionately known as “Momma Donna”.

In her spare time, she enjoyed playing card games, reading books, painting, latch hooking and playing video games, especially Mario & Zelda.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.
