Donna Sue McGuire Donna Sue McGuire, daughter of J.B. and Brooks Aline "Toots" Rush Long, was born, July 26, 1951 in Lee's Summit, Missouri. She departed this life, Thursday, December 2, 2010, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of fifty-nine years, four months and six days. On April 18, 1968 in Camdenton, she was united in marriage to Larry Wayne McGuire and to this union five children were born. Together they shared forty-two years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robby McGuire and two brothers, Richard "Dickie" Long and Andy McGuire. Survivors include her husband, Larry McGuire of the home; children, Tommy McGuire and wife Connie of Linn Creek, Missouri, Melissa Hunter and husband Robert of Camdenton, Missouri, Dakota McGuire and wife Christina of Camdenton, Missouri and Jake McGuire and Kelsey Cannon of Buffalo, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Ivy Rush, Dalton Hunter, Kristy Hunter, Andrew McGuire, Matt McGuire, Kota McGuire, Madeline McGuire, Declan McGuire and Andrew Wayne McGuire; a great-grandson; a brother, John Long of Jefferson City, Missouri; three sisters, Cathy Moore, Vickie Eidson and husband Jim and Anita Schlenfort and husband David all of Linn Creek, Missouri; an aunt Ruth Thornton and husband James of Lee's Summit, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and many friends. Donna grew-up in Lee's Summit, Missouri and the family moved to Camden County when she was fourteen. She worked as a Certified Nurse's Aide at Windsor Estates for many years and was a custodian for the Camdenton R-III School District. Mostly, she was a homemaker and help-mate to her husband. She loved playing Bingo and enjoyed playing as often as she could. She loved her family deeply and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. Although she left us early, we will treasure the memories she created in our hearts forever. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 7, 2010 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Horeb Cemetery, Decaturville. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Monday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to a fund established to assist the family and left at the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
