DOROTHY BACH Dorothy Anna Bach, daughter of Oscar C. and Emma Stahl Dimond, was born, September 26, 1915 in St. Louis, Missouri. She departed this life, Saturday, August 1, 2009, in Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri at the age of ninety-three years, ten months and six days. On July 27, 1933 in St. Louis, Missouri, she was united in marriage to John Orville Bach. Together, they shared fifty-six years of marriage until his passing on December 6, 1989. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Irene Dimond; a granddaughter, Mary Janis and a great-grandson, Christopher Janis. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Lee and husband Ken of O'Fallon, Missouri and Barbara Feltner and husband Roy of Macks Creek, Missouri; a son, John Bach and wife Terry of Salem, Missouri. She was a grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother to many. Dorothy was raised in the Village of Riverview and graduated from Riverview Gardens School. She lived most of her life in the St. Louis area. She was a devoted homemaker, help-mate to her husband and mother to her children. In 1985 she and John retired to the Greenview area of the Lake of the Ozarks. In her spare time, she enjoyed to make many crafts. She quilted, made ceramics, crocheted and knitted. She had a green thumb and grew many beautiful orchids. Most of all, she enjoyed time spent with family and friends. Dorothy made a profession of faith and was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Camdenton. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m., Tuesday, August 4, 2009 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. A private family service will precede the visitation. Memorial donations may be made to Camdenton Senior Center and left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
