Dorothy Elaine Walsh, daughter of Carl E. and Pearl R. McIntire Walsh, was born, February 16, 1955 in Warsaw, Missouri. She departed this life, Friday, January 12, 2018, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of sixty-two years, ten months and twenty-seven days. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Carol Ann Crum, Susan Walsh and Josephine LaCasse and a brother, Larry Walsh. Dorothy is survived by her siblings; Lou Landrus and husband Dannie of Linn Creek, Missouri, Mary Hill and husband Jim of Independence, Missouri, Bill Walsh and wife Nancy of Louisville, Kentucky, Eddie Walsh and wife Janet of Independence, Missouri and Karen Rice of Urbana, Missouri; her family at Ozark Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, other relatives and many friends. Dorothy was raised in the Cross Timbers and Urbana Missouri area. She graduated from Skyline High School in the class of 1974. Upon her family moving to the lake area, she worked at Eric’s Diner, Night Hawk and CJ’s where she was famous for her pies and pizza. Dorothy made a profession of faith and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Osage Beach, Missouri. In her spare time she loved to paint and garden. She could always be heard singing her favorite religious songs. The thing she enjoyed most though, was cooking. Her family said she was never afraid to tackle any kind of cooking challenge. Dorothy could make a pie that would just melt in your mouth. She was a loving sister, aunt, niece and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 18, 2018 in Bower Chapel Cemetery, Urbana, Missouri. Visitation will be from 12:00 (noon) – 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Dogwood Animal Shelter and left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri.
