DOROTHY L. KILGORE Dorothy Louise Kilgore, daughter of Raymond Everett and Edna Murry Wallace, was born, February 21, 1932 in Ashland, Kentucky. She departed this life, Wednesday, April 14, 2010, in Osage Beach Health Care Center, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of seventy-eight years, one month and twenty-four days. On December 3, 1949 in Ashland, Kentucky, she was united in marriage to Louis Perry Kilgore and to this union four children were born. Together they shared fifty-three years of marriage until his passing on July 17, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her parents; four brothers and one sister. Survivors include two daughters, Paula Ming of Bucyrus, Missouri and Riese Kamine of Columbia, Missouri; two sons, Perry S. Kilgore of Denver, Colorado and James Kilgore of Camdenton, Missouri; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Dorothy was raised in Ashland, Kentucky. After her marriage to Perry, they made their home in Charleston, South Carolina. They lived in various places throughout the country while he was in the military. The family settled in California where she worked for the Semtech Corporation in Newbury Park, California. She and Perry retired to Simmons, Missouri in 1977 and later to Camdenton in 1991. She made a profession of faith in Christ and followed the Southern Baptist faith. In her spare time she enjoyed playing cards and bingo, toll painting and antiques. Most of all, she enjoyed time spent with family and friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 17, 2010 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Allee Memorial Gardens, Camdenton. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association and left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
