Dorothy M Eidson

Dorothy Mae Pemberton Eidson was born in Bristow, Oklahoma on October 23, 1921, the only child of Clyde and Gladys Pemberton. She left this earth to be with Jesus on March 5, 2019. She was a devoted wife and mother. She and her parents moved to Osage Beach when was 10. She graduated from Linn Creek High School in 1939 and attended Central Missouri State Teachers College where she received her teaching certificate. She met the love of her life at the White House in Bagnell Dam. They loved dancing together and were married on June 8, 1947. They lived in Camdenton their entire married life. When her daughters started school, she began working as a substitute teacher in the Camdenton School District. She loved to play bridge, play golf, and spend time with her friends. She was a charter member of the Lake Valley Golf Club. She was a member of the Camdenton Park Board and was instrumental in getting the tennis courts built. She was a charter member of Camdenton United Methodist Church and loved singing in the choir and participating in Bible Study. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of nearly seventy-two years Jerry, her daughter Jane Eidson, her daughter and son-in-law Jean Ann and Milton Genge, grandsons Mike Genge and his wife Kelly, Rob Genge and his wife Lola and granddaughter Beth Giesler and her husband Brian. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren. Services for Dorothy will be held at Camdenton United Methodist Church on Monday, March 11 with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. and funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Dale Blair Memorial Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Camdenton United Methodist Church music department. Online condolence may be left at www.alleeholmanhowe.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri.
