Douglas Arthur Kalina, Sr., was born, Saturday, May 8, 1965 in Kansas City, Missouri. He departed this life, Sunday, December 21, 2008 in his parent's home, Climax Springs, Missouri at the age of forty-three years, seven months and thirteen days. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Brianna Kalina in July of 2008. Survivors include his parents, Tommy and Donna Puckett of Climax Springs, Missouri; a brother, Jordie Puckett and wife Donna of Camdenton, Missouri; two children, Douglas Arthur Kalina, Jr. and Jessica Goode both of Sunrise Beach, Missouri; his fiance, Regina Wilson of Sunrise Beach, Missouri; an uncle and aunt, Milton and Mary Ann Cook of Cameron, Missouri; one nephew and six nieces; several cousins and many friends. He spent his early childhood in Independence, Missouri. The family later moved to Orange, California where he lived until he was twenty-four. He then moved to the Lake of the Ozarks. He worked as an over-the-road truck driver and was currently a meat cutter for Sav-A-Lot in Laurie. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and was an avid NASCAR fan. Most of all, he enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. Douglas was a loving son, brother, father, fiance, nephew, uncle and cousin and was a caring neighbor and friend. He made an impact on many lives and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. A private family service will be held at a later date. Cremation was under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton. Memorial donations may be made to Lymphoma Research Association and left at the funeral home.
