Dumont Julius “Duke” Cretton, Jr., was born May 31, 1977 in Springfield, Missouri. He departed this life Sunday, October 1, 2017 in Lebanon North Nursing and Rehabilitation, at the age of forty years, four months, and one day. Duke was preceded in death by his mother, Gail Andrew Cretton; paternal grandparents, Bill and Delores Cretton; and maternal grandparents, Charlie and Lois Christensen. He is survived by his father and stepmother, Duke, Sr., and Susan Cretton, of Eldridge, Missouri; a son, Brady Barker; a sister, Jennifer Cretton, of the State of California; two step-brothers, Oliver Christensen and wife Carol, of Jacksonville, Illinois, and Shawn Berman, of Reno, Nevada; as well as a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and many dear friends. Duke was a graduate of Lebanon High School, and drove a dump truck for many years until his health forced him to retire. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also loved riding horses and cherished the time spent with his family and friends. Duke was a loving father, son, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories he has created for his family and many dear friends. Memorial graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 5, 2017 in Allee-Memorial Gardens, Camdenton, Missouri. Memorial donations may be made to the Huntington Disease Foundation in care of the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home at 15 Clint Avenue, Camdenton, Missouri, 65020.
