EARL COWHER Earl Turner Cowher, Jr., son of Earl Turner Cowher Sr. and Catherine Heath Moore Cowher, was born, February 24, 1939. He departed this life, Monday, November 2, 2015, in Gravois Mills, Missouri at the age of seventy-six years. On September 4, 1970, he was united in marriage to Lisa Metcalf Cowher. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lisa; a sister, Tish Anderton and his father. Survivors include his daughters, Becky Fritz and husband Ken of Shawnee, Kansas, Kim Sloan and Dave Wilcox and Kris Kertz and husband Gary all of Lee's Summit, Missouri and Debbie Lickteig and husband Paul of Raytown, Missouri; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; his mother, Catherine Cowher; a brother, Howard Cowher; and a sister, Mary Beers and husband Richard all of Kansas City, Kansas; his best friend, Lorraine Boyd of Gravois Mills, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Earl was raised in Kansas City, Kansas. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy. After completing Aviation A School, he was immediately assigned to the Blue Angels in Pensacola, Florida. After being honorably discharged, he returned to the Kansas City area where we worked as an airplane mechanic for TWA. He moved to the Lake of the Ozarks in 2001. Earl made a profession of faith and attended Kent Memorial Lutheran Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, boating and doing mechanical work. He had a big personality and tried to be funny and make people laugh. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, November 7, 2015 in Kent Memorial Lutheran Church with visitation starting at 11:00. A potluck dinner will follow at 12:30 p.m. also at the church. Memorial donations may be made to Kent Memorial Lutheran Church and left at the funeral home or the church the day of the service. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements
