EDNA SPAUTZ Edna Elizabeth Spautz, daughter of John E. and Florene Mary Hanks Danuser, was born, October 5, 1934 in Linn Creek, Missouri. She departed this life, Tuesday, January 29, 2013, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of seventy-eight years, three months and twenty-four days. On February 11, 1956 in Camdenton, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Edward Paul Spautz and to this union seven children were born. Together they shared fifty-five years of marriage until his passing on December 4, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her second mother, Dorothy Danuser; two great-grandchildren, Hunter Kane Heavner and Alana Mae Weems; two brothers, Warren Dale Keeney and John Thomas Danuser and a sister, Delores Danuser. Survivors include seven children, Cyndi Byler and husband Bentley of Linn Creek, Missouri, Sandra Leap and husband Jeffrey of Camdenton, Missouri, Randy Spautz and wife Nancy of St. Louis, Missouri, Tim Spautz and wife Laura of Kansas City, Missouri, Patty Muscia and husband Joe of Linn Creek, Missouri, Lori Connor and husband Chuck of Camdenton, Missouri and Flo Weems and husband Jim of Linn Creek, Missouri; twenty-four grandchildren, Wade Byler and Sherry Soums, Ashley Byler and Sara Silverwood, Jesse Byler and wife Lisa, Jacob Byler and wife Karissa, Blaine Byler and wife Nickie, Rachel Byler and Steve Goldsberry, Savannah Robinson and husband Colt, Joey Leap and wife Carrie, Alishua Leap and husband Dale, Lacey Heavner and husband Chris, Courtney Leap and husband Chris, Jessica Spautz, Matthew Spautz, Michael Spautz, James Spautz, Dezirea Muscia, Cheyenne Muscia, Kody Richter, Kade Martin, Kayla Martin, Scott Weems and wife Melissa, James Weems and wife Julie, Jimmy Weems and wife Morgan, Patrick Weems and Tessa Greenwell, Barry Weems and Nathan Weems; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; eight siblings, Clara May Dugan of Dubuque, Iowa, Juanita Faye Frederick of Dubuque, Iowa, Anna Lee Burkett of Chesapeake Bay, Florida, Patti Sharon Triggs of Camdenton, Missouri, Donald Paul Danuser and wife Roxanne of Camdenton, Missouri, George Morgan Danuser and wife Joyce of Decaturville, Missouri, Loretta Ailene "Rita" Tyre and husband Don of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Mary Keeney of Linn Creek, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Edna was raised in Linn Creek, Missouri and was a graduate of Camdenton High School in the class of 1953. She was the Dogwood Queen in 1952 and was a model for Sears and Roebuck at the annual rodeo. At the age of eighteen she moved to Dubuque, Iowa. It was there that her seven children were born. In 1971, the family returned to the Lake of the Ozarks where they owned and operated Ace Pancake House. She later started working at Lake Regional Hospital. She retired as a Housekeeping Executive. Edna made a profession of faith as a youngster and was a member of Linn Creek Baptist Church. She converted and became a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Later in life, she returned to her roots at Linn Creek Baptist Church. She loved to crochet and made many beautiful items. She won first place for crocheting at the Missouri State Fair. She enjoyed reading and was a good cook. Most of all, she enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, February 2, 2013 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and left at the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with
