Edward Raymond Clowers Passed away under Comfort Care at Lake Regional Hospital peacefully to the arms of God on the night of August 3, 2022. Born in a farmhouse in St. John, Kansas, Ed was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Dorothy Pearl Rich who passed October 25, 2009. Ed was the last living soul of his birth family; parents Charles Jacob and Grace Scott Clowers, sisters and brothers Velma, Ramona Jean “Monie”, Charles “Scott”, Arthur “Bud”, and step Brother George “Bud”. Ed had lived in Sunrise Beach and Camdenton, MO across these last 10 years after long-term residency in Kansas and Colorado. Ed was 95 years old, born January 5, 1927 during the depression. He joined the U.S. Army after high school, at the end of WWII and was deployed during the Korean Conflict. On his return to the States Ed continued to service in the Army National Reserve. Ed's working career began in the insurance industry, centered in banking and finished in insurance. He was a Vice President at Citizens National Bank of Eureka, President of banks in Oklahoma City, Rocky Ford, Holyoke, and Kersey State Bank all in Colorado. Upon retiring from banking, Ed created his own Independent Storm and Casualty Insurance Adjusting company specializing in catastrophe, “Cat One” in Broomfield, Colorado. He and Dorothy raised two sons, Michael and Patrick. Both boys live in the Lake of the Ozarks region, Michael with his wife Robin. Ed has 2 grandchildren, Nicolette Elizondo (Richard) of Belton, Texas and Justin (Mary Kate) of Austin, Texas, and three great-grandchildren, Sara and Edward Elizondo, with a new great-grandson due to Justin and Mary Kate, in September, 2022. Ed's cremation will be handled by the Allee Holman-Howe funeral home of Camdenton, MO. Application has been made to intern both Ed's and his wife Dorothy's ashes at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, in Denver Colorado. A Celebration of Life will be held in Camdenton, MO at a date to be determined. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
