Elizabeth Ann Heser, daughter of Howard and Charlotte Gerletti Aldrich, was born January 3, 1932 in Sparta, Wisconsin. She departed this life Thursday, September 15, 2016 in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of eighty-four years, eight months, and twelve days. On October 13, 1951, Elizabeth was united in marriage to Robert Kenneth Heser, and together they shared nearly fifty years until his passing on May 15, 2000. Elizabeth was also preceded in death by her parents; and two sons, James Heser, who passed in infancy, and Robert John Heser. She is survived by her children, Julie Ann Wares, of Newton, Iowa, Mary Katherine Dunn and husband Andy, of Morro Bay, California, and Thomas James Heser, and friend LuRae DeWulf, of Johnston, Iowa; four grandchildren, Ken Wares, Jeff Wares, Wendy Hermann, and Melanie Heser; four great-grandchildren, Damien Hermann, Hannah Hermann, Jacob Wares and Jordan Wares; a sister, Mary Futrell and husband Tony, of Jonesboro, Arkansas; a brother William Aldrich and wife Dona, of Kaiser, Oregon; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and many dear friends. Elizabeth spent her younger years living in Wisconsin and moved to Iowa following her marriage to Robert. She was a devoted homemaker to her family and assisted Robert in his Chiropractic Practice for many years until they moved to the Lake area on Labor Day Weekend in 1991. Elizabeth loved living on the Lake of the Ozarks and looked forward to her mornings on her deck overlooking the lake with a cup of coffee in her hands. In her spare time, she enjoyed golfing, playing bridge, reading and spending time on the lake. She was also active in her community and spent countless hours volunteering at Lake Regional Hospital, The Lamb House, and St. George’s Episcopal Church. Elizabeth was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and many accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories she has created for her family and many dear friends. Memorial services for Elizabeth will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at St. George’s Episcopal Church, Camdenton, Missouri. A memorial has been established.
